Reveal Types

When an NFT is minted, its artwork may or may not be visible right away. The reveal type determines when and how the final artwork is shown.

Instant Reveal

Artwork shows immediately when minted. No waiting. Used for all token launches.

Manual Reveal

The user controls when their NFT reveals. Used for NFT collections.

The simplest option. As soon as you mint an NFT, you see the artwork, traits, and rarity.

  • Default for all token launches
  • No surprise element — you know exactly what you’re getting
  • Best for collections where transparency matters

With manual reveal, NFTs are minted with a placeholder image. The holder decides when to reveal their NFT’s actual artwork.

This gives users full control over timing — useful for:

  • Building personal anticipation before revealing
  • Coordinating reveals with community events
  • Strategic reveals for marketplace activity
  1. You mint an NFT and receive it with a placeholder image
  2. NFT status: Waiting to Reveal
  3. When you’re ready, select Reveal from the NFT action menu
  4. The artwork and traits become visible
