Manual Reveal
The user controls when their NFT reveals. Used for NFT collections.
The simplest option. As soon as you mint an NFT, you see the artwork, traits, and rarity.
With manual reveal, NFTs are minted with a placeholder image. The holder decides when to reveal their NFT’s actual artwork.
This gives users full control over timing — useful for:
| Before Hidden | After Revealed | |
|---|---|---|
| Image | Placeholder / animation | Actual NFT artwork |
| Traits | Hidden | Visible with rarity |
| Status | Waiting to Reveal | Unlisted / Bound |
| Trading | Can still trade | Full info visible |
The reveal type is set during collection creation and cannot be changed after launch.
| Type | Best For |
|---|---|
| Instant | Transparency, utility-focused collections, token launches |
| Manual | Community engagement, strategic reveals, gamified collections |
